Due to our clients continued success as one of the country's leading supermarkets they have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Engineer - HGV, based at their Goldthorpe regional distribution centre.

In this challenging, satisfying role, you'll help to make sure their vehicles are maintained to the highest standard, keeping them on the road to ensure they provide the best service to their customers.

Working Hours:

Sunday to Thursday - 05:00 to 06:00 starts - 8 hour to 9 hour shifts

Rate of Pay - £17.51 per hour

Job Description:

· Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer's procedures.

· Carry out running repairs to defected vehicles and trailers.

· Completing thorough safety checks and preparing vehicles for MOT.

· Working to DVSAVOSA standards and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.

· Following company processes by completing all relevant paperwork.

· Working alongside your direct leader to assist in forward planning, service Rota's, day to day running of the VMU also providing cover in their absence.

Job Requirements:

· Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician)

· Proven work experience in servicing and maintenance of large goods vehicles.

· LGV CE Preferred.

· Good team player working in a small group.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Problem solving skills.

· Ability to work on own initiative.

· Ensuring H&S and Environmental regulations are adhered to.
