Exciting Opportunity: Band 6 Adult Mental Health Social Worker - Primary Care Mental Health Team We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!
Job Title: Adult Mental Health Social Worker (Band 6 equivalent) Location: SE London Duration: 3 months (with likely extension) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM Start Date: ASAP Rate of Pay: £21.21 PAYE or £28.
What You'll Be Doing: Join the integrated Primary Care Mental Health Team as an Adult Mental Health Social Worker. Working alongside NHS and voluntary sector colleagues, your key responsibilities will include:
✔ Screening and triaging new referrals while on duty ✔ Completing strengths-based assessments, support planning, and stabilisation work ✔ Leading on adult safeguarding cases and conducting Care Act 2014 assessments ✔ Managing a caseload in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team ✔ Participating in regular MDT meetings and contributing to risk management planning ✔ Supporting service users with a wide range of mental health needs through brief intervention models
Requirements & Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:
✔ SWE Registration and a degree in Social Work ✔ Substantial experience in adult mental health community casework ✔ Strong assessment, engagement, and risk management skills ✔ Sound knowledge of CA 2014, MHA 1983, and MCA 2005 ✔ Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within an integrated MDT environment ✔ Commitment to safeguarding and promoting recovery-focused care
Working Hours & Contract Duration: This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday from 9 AM - 5 PM. Based in SE London, offering excellent transport links and free parking. Initial 3-month contract with strong possibility of extension.
