Service Manager

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Service Manager to run a residential care home located in West Sussex. The service is maintained to a very high standard and set in beautiful grounds. It caters for people with learning disabilities and complex needs. The focus is to ensure person centred care that supports individuals to achieve independence, reach their potential and enable them to lead an inclusive life style.

As Service Manager you will be responsible for providing both operational and strategic leadership and management and ensure the smooth running of the service within budget requirements. You will also be a confident and competent people manager who enjoys developing and mentoring your team. You need to be committed to ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred services and ensuring that the service users achieve the very best care and support.

As Service Manager you need to be a strong, supportive and effective leader with a proven track record of success at running a learning disability service or a similar service within social care. A proven ability to meet and maintain CQC requirements is essential and turnaround and trouble shooting skills will be helpful. Strong stakeholder engagement ability including the ability to engage with commissioning teams is essential. The successful Service Manager will have/be working towards the QCF Level 5 in Social Care or hold and NVQ Level 4 in health and social care and leadership and management.
