A wonderful specialist school we are working with is currently looking for a patient and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their lovely team. This school works with young people between 3-19 years old with severe learning disabilities. They really strive to ensure each student has the best possible start in life, regardless of ability, and truly believe every pupil deserve the highest quality-individualised education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of students from multiple different backgrounds, providing support in both their academic and personal development. You will also be able to work closely with experienced teachers and dedicated staff to gain valuable experience and facilitate a nurturing and supportive environment, allowing the students to flourish.

You could be a SEN Teaching Assistant if you:

* Are genuinely passionate about providing the best quality education to young people with severe learning disabilities

* Have a minimum Grade C/Level 4 GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths

* Have a bubbly and patient personality, and the ability to connect with all kinds of people

* Have previous experience working with young people (Preferred but not required)

* Are a team played and have a can-do attitude

The daily role of a SEN Teaching Assistant includes:

* Helping teachers plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons

* Delivering individualised learning plans on a 1 to 1 or group basis

* Supporting the young people inside the classroom with their learning in many different subjects

* liaising with teachers and parents, and acting part of a wider team to provide the best support possible

* Providing a safe, nurturing and happy learning environment
