Project Engineer (Mechanical - Waste Water Industry) | Aylesbury | Up to £60,000

As Project Engineer , you'll be responsible for the technical coordination and successful delivery of high-value, site-based projects. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in managing delivery plans, resolving engineering challenges and aligning operations with wider programme objectives.
You'll join a forward-thinking engineering business operating across environmental, infrastructure, and public sector frameworks , with a strong reputation for engineering integrity, safety and client trust.

As Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Project Manager in full lifecycle delivery , from initiation to handover
* Leading engineering planning , change management and subcontractor coordination
* Ensuring compliance with technical, commercial and health & safety requirements
* Monitoring project risks and escalating critical issues with strategic clarity
* Preparing RAMS, technical queries, budget documentation and client-facing reports
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project control and alignment
Your background will likely include:
* A degree or HND in an engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, civil, utilities)
* Significant experience in the delivery of site-based engineering projects
* A confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders and contractors
* Strong documentation, planning, and budget management capabilities
* A mindset rooted in risk mitigation, quality delivery, and commercial accountability
