PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT - £55,000 to £70,000 + Benefits - Manchester
A leading environmental consultancy is looking for a PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT to join its expanding team in Manchester. This is a prime opportunity for an experienced and strategic PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT to drive project delivery, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development across the North West.
As a PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT, you will lead high-value assessments across transport, infrastructure, and urban planning sectors. Your role will involve dispersion modelling, air quality impact reporting, and liaising with clients, regulators, and local authorities across Manchester and beyond.
We are seeking a PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT with:

6+ years of consultancy or regulatory experience in air quality
*
Strong knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, LAQM, and EPUK/IAQM guidance
*
Proven track record in client management, project delivery, and mentoring
*
A degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related field
*
Chartered status or working toward it (IAQM/CEnv preferred)
*
Full UK driving licence
This Manchester-based role offers a £55,000 to £70,000 salary, hybrid working, bonus scheme, pension, private healthcare, and a clear route to Associate or Director-level roles.
