Acorn Recruitment is seeking an experienced Planning and Purchasing Manager for their manufacturing client based near Bradley Stoke, Bristol.
The Planning and Purchasing Manager is responsible for the coordination of the order flow and production planning steps that efficiently transform customer orders efficiently into finished goods (i.e. procurement and supply of raw material, service and consumables, inventory management, master data creation, production planning). Close collaboration is required with key stakeholders, both internal and externally.
You will manage a small team of Purchasing Planners providing leadership and ensuring a high level of performance within the areas of demand forecasting/planning, scheduling, master data management, inventory management, delivering and KPI setting.

* Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP)

* Capacity setting to match budget, forecast and demand
Inventory management
* Match demand with minimal inventory
* Optimise inventory management
Continuous improvement
* Support CI initiatives to improve operationally efficiency / remove wastes
* Continually review and develop the effectiveness of the team
* Identify and eliminate bottlenecks and constraints
Performance reporting
* Monthly Performance Report
* KPIs (i.e. DIFOTIS, Aged Stock, Inventory, Cost, Capacity)

Formal Qualifications and Experience
* University degree in field of Management Engineering or Supply Chain (preferably)
* Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain experience
* Experience in leading and developing a team
* Fluent in English
* ERP, MRP knowledge (SAP - advantage)
* Data analysis
* Strong Excel capabilities (PowerPoint and Word - advantage)
