Nursery Deputy Manager
Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a really fantastic, high-quality nursery in Hammersmith. This setting are looking to recruit an inspirational, bubbly, motivated and passionate Nursery Deputy Manager who must be great at using your initiative, hard-working and an inspiring role-model for their young learners.
The ideal Nursery Deputy Manager candidate will need to have excellent organisation and managerial skills together with a well driven, passionate attitude, together with an approach to provide loving, nurturing, safe environment filled with warmth and promise where individual's talents are encouraged to flourish and grow.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the safeguarding of all children, staff, parents and visitors is paramount and nursery policies and procedures are understood and followed by all staff
* Oversee the quality of childcare provided.
* Build strong relationships with parents and staff.
* Undertake time in the nursery rooms as a role model.
* Ensure the nursery always meets Ofsted requirements
* Implement an effective and creative method of communication with staff, children and parents through a variety of means.
* Plan and deliver a programme of activities suitable to the age range and ability of children in your area in conjunction with other staff.
* To assist with the planning and organisation of staffing schedules and holiday rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in accordance with Ofsted and nursery procedures.
* Undertake duties of the Nursery Manager in their absence or when required on a temporary basis or any other reasonable which may be identified by manager.
* At all times to act in accordance with the ethos and values of the association and the general standards expected of all employees.
Essential Criteria
* NVQ Level 3 in Childcare equivalent or above.
* A good level of general education, to at least GCSE level in English and Maths, or equivalent.
* Safeguarding and Child Protection Training in date
* Experience of working to OFSTED Standards
* Detailed knowledge of EYFS, Statutory and Learning and Development
* Knowledge, understanding and practical experience of Day Care for young children
* Able to enhance children's learning and development
