Maths Functional Skills Tutor
Location: Weston-super-Mare (BS232AL and BS228NL) and based in Bristol (BS11XH). Tuition is in-person at these locations so you must be able to reliably commute to one of these locations on a weekly basis
Salary: £18 an hour plus holiday pay
Hours: 4 hours available at Bristol, 14 hours at Weston-super-Mare. You do not need to be available for all tuition hours provided- please find further information in About the Role section below. Programmes will run for either 3 or 6 months.

Our client is an award-winning charity that supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop the skills they need to progress onto higher-level courses, apprenticeships, and into the workplace. They partner with colleges and employers to deliver tailored tuition for GCSE and Functional Skills, offering valuable extra support to help students secure gateway qualifications.
The Role
As a Flex Tutor, you'll deliver small-group tuition (1-3 students) using their ready-to-go maths resources. You'll help unlock opportunities for learners who need a second chance at crucial gateway qualifications.
No lesson planning needed- just focused delivery and meaningful student support during 1-hour sessions. Programmes will run for either three or six months. Further details on tuition hours available are:
Weston-super-Mare: Based at BS232AL and BS228NL
* Monday 9am - 12pm, (3-month programme) 1:30pm - 4:40pm (6-month programme)
* Tuesday 9am - 10am (3-month programme), 11am - 12pm, 1:30pm - 2:30pm (6-month programmes)
* Wednesday 9 am - 12pm (3-month programme), 1:30pm - 4:30pm (6-month programme)
* Friday 9am 10am (6-month programme), 11am - 2:30pm (3-month programme)
Bristol: Based at BS11XH
* Tuesday 2pm - 4:30pm - 3-month programme
* Thursday 2pm - 4:30pm - 6-month programme
Please note: You do not need to be available for all tuition hours provided but must be available to reliably commute to the given location for some of the required hours.

Requirements
* Right to work in the UK
* Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and maths (or equivalent)
* A-level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject at grade B or above
* Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree (or working towards one)
* Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
* Commitment to attend two full days of training
* Access to travel to placement and/or online setup (for remote roles)
