Job Title: GP Pharmacy Technician (Band 5) Location: Sunderland Duration: Ongoing contract Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (30-minute break)
What You'll Be Doing:
Join our team as a GP Pharmacy Technician and play a key role in improving the lives of patients in primary care. In this role, you will:
support clinical pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team
contribute to repeat prescribing processes and medicines reconciliation
assist with audits, medication reviews, and medicines optimisation initiatives
liaise with patients to improve compliance and understanding of their treatment
maintain accurate records and support data collection for clinical reporting
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
previous experience in a GP surgery or PCN setting is desirable
strong communication and organisational skills
the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role offers a flexible, full-time locum position requiring availability Monday to Friday . The contract is ongoing with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
