IES Modeller

Bristol

CTJ92

£35,000 - £45,000

Are you a skilled IES Modeller with a passion for sustainable design and a knack for building client relationships? We are working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in Bristol that's looking for a confident, experienced modeller to join their growing sustainability team.

The Role:

As an IES Modeller, you will be a key technical lead in delivering dynamic thermal simulations and building performance assessments across a diverse project portfolio-from commercial developments to low-carbon residential schemes. But what really sets this role apart? Your ability to communicate clearly with clients, present findings, and guide them through sustainable design decisions from concept to completion.

Responsibilities Include:

* Producing accurate thermal and energy models using IES VE software

* Advising design teams and clients on Part L compliance, overheating, and net-zero strategies

* Attending client meetings and providing technical guidance in plain English

* Collaborating with internal teams to deliver integrated, high-performance building solutions

What We're Looking For:

* Proven experience using IES VE software (ideally 2+ years)

* A good understanding of UK building regulations, especially Part L and TM59

* Strong communication skills - comfortable working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams

* A degree in environmental design, building services, sustainability, or a related field

* Experience with BREEAM, LEED, or NABERS

* Knowledge of HVAC systems and energy compliance software (e.g., SAP, SBEM)

Benefits:

* Competitive salary + generous benefits package

* Flexible working hours and hybrid options

* Career progression within a supportive and forward-thinking environment

* Work on meaningful, sustainability-led projects across the UK
