About the Role:
As Head of Year 5, you will:
* Lead and manage the Year 5 team to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
* Be responsible for raising attainment and supporting the holistic development of pupils
* Coordinate planning and assessment across the year group
* Act as a key member of the middle leadership team, contributing to whole-school improvement
* Work closely with SLT to drive high standards and ensure consistency across the curriculum
We are looking for someone who:
* Is an excellent classroom practitioner with KS2 experience (Year 5 experience ideal)
* Has strong leadership skills or is ready to step into a leadership role
* Can inspire and support colleagues through coaching, collaboration, and clear communication
* Is committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential
* Has a sound understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and assessment expectations
