Are you a Corporate Tax Assistant/Semi seeking a new role with a Top 10 firm in Chelmsford?
Our client is a Top 10 practice with award-winning progression pathways, a diverse client base and inclusive culture. With 5,000 staff operating from over 30 UK based offices, they have a global reach, offering their staff overseas secondment opportunities and exposure to an international client base.
Your responsibilities will include:
* You will work on a varied portfolio of clients and groups, some with complex tax affairs, ensuring both excellent client service and identification of further work opportunities
* The role will include actively undertaking the more complex compliance work, reviewing work undertaken by junior team members and working on a variety of advisory projects
* Operating as a key part of the client service team for a variety of clients and therefore having regular dialogue with key members of the client's team and working internally to plan the delivery of work.
* Delivering a high-quality corporation tax compliance service to your clients.
* Working closely with your colleagues to provide value adding, technically accurate, clear and concise tax advice covering a range of technical issues relevant to your clients business risks, challenges and opportunities. Such areas are likely to include: Loss relief, tax relief on interest, transfer pricing, R&D tax relief, capital allowances, group reorganisations, shareholder reorganisations, international tax matters and acquisitions & disposals.
The successful candidate will
* Be working towards ATT/CTA or ACA/CTA qualified
* Have over 2 years' Corporate Tax experience
* Have exposure to a volume compliance work
* Strong understanding of corporate tax
* Preferably have working knowledge of CCH, Alphatax, IRIS
* Have experience of onboarding new clients including leading projects and providing training
* Ideally have mix of 50% Compliance and 50% Advisory
* Demonstrate a strong knowledge of, or passion for, the financial services sector
