An industry-leading, multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Director - Building Surveyor to join its Manchester team. This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to play a pivotal part in the continued growth of the business across the North West.

This role is ideal for a senior-level Building Surveyor ready to step into strategic leadership, manage high-profile clients, and lead diverse projects across the commercial, residential, education, and public sectors.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage a team of Building Surveyors, supporting their development and performance

* Oversee a wide range of Building Surveying services, including project delivery, contract administration, and technical due diligence

* Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor

* Contribute to business development, bidding, and client presentations

* Ensure high standards of service delivery, compliance, and quality assurance

* Provide strategic input to the business unit, including operational planning and resource management

* Mentor and support junior team members towards chartership (MRICS)

The ideal candidate will:

* MRICS-qualified with significant post-qualification experience

* Proven leadership or associate-level experience within a consultancy or client-side role

* Strong technical Building Surveying background across a mix of sectors

* Commercially aware with a client-first mindset

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills

* Ability to manage, motivate, and inspire a team
