Assistant Air Quality Consultant - Bristol - £25,000 to £32,800 + Benefits

A well-established UK-based Environmental Consultancy is seeking an Assistant Air Quality Consultant to join its team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career consultant with some experience in the environmental sector to develop their expertise in air quality assessment, modelling, and project delivery.

Essential Criteria:

A BSc (minimum) in Environmental Science, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline.

*

Previous experience working within an environmental consultancy, ideally on air quality-related projects.

*

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

*

A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Criteria:

*

Familiarity with air dispersion modelling tools (e.g., ADMS, AERMOD).

*

Experience conducting site surveys or managing small-scale monitoring projects.

*

Understanding of UK air quality regulations and policy.

The Role:

You will support a range of air quality consultancy projects from the Bristol office, contributing to site surveys, data analysis, modelling and report writing. The role is primarily on-site/in-office, with potential for some hybrid flexibility. You'll work directly with senior consultants and project managers on assessments for planning, transport, and infrastructure developments.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting air quality monitoring and site-based data collection.

*

Assisting with atmospheric dispersion modelling and data interpretation.

*

Contributing to technical reports and impact assessments for clients and regulatory bodies.

*

Coordinating aspects of project delivery, from planning to reporting.

*

Liaising with clients, local authorities, and internal teams.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Bristol. It offers a competitive salary between £25,000 and £32,800, alongside benefits including pension contributions, training and development, and long-term progression opportunities. Please note: overtime is not paid, and the position is to replace outgoing team members as part of a planned team restructure.
