Air Quality Consultant - Bristol

A growing UK-based Environmental Consultancy is seeking an Air Quality Consultant with 2-5 years' experience to join its expanding team in either Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental professional to develop their career working on greenhouse gas and emissions-related projects within a supportive and forward-thinking consultancy.

Essential Criteria:

A BSc (minimum) in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, Geography, or a related discipline.

*

2-5 years' experience in a consultancy role involving air quality or greenhouse gas emissions.

*

Strong technical skills and familiarity with UK air quality and GHG legislation.

*

Excellent written communication skills for technical report writing.

*

A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Criteria:

*

Knowledge of emissions modelling and assessment tools (e.g., ADMS, EMEP/EEA, DEFRA tools).

*

Experience with air quality and carbon reporting for planning or industry.

*

Familiarity with greenhouse gas inventories or climate assessments.

*

Experience working with local authorities or private developers.

The Role:

This desk-based consultancy role focuses on air quality, emissions, and greenhouse gas assessments for a range of planning, infrastructure, and development projects. You will contribute to modelling, reporting, and project management, working within a fast-growing and collaborative team.

Responsibilities include:

*

Supporting and managing technical assessments related to air quality and GHG emissions.

*

Preparing high-quality reports for planning and permitting.

*

Interpreting emissions data and applying relevant UK and EU legislation.

*

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects to deadlines.

*

Contributing to internal knowledge-sharing and project innovation.
